Blok Group sponsors sailers Lisa and Lobke

Blok Group Eyecatchers Olympic sponsors a campaign that women sailors Lobke Berkhout and Lisa Westerhof guides towards excellence in the World Championships in Scheveningen and Australia. Another goal is to achieve a medal in the women's 470 class at the Olympic Games in London 2012.

Lobke Berkhout
Lobke, called the sailing queen of the Netherlands, guarantees success. She won almost every race there is to win. Her strengths are professionalism and enthusiasm.

Lisa Westerhof
Lisa is the greatest talent of world sailing mentioned. At a young age she became world champion before all men in the Optimist. In the 470 she won several medals at World Cups, European Championships and World Cups. Her strengths are her tactical skill, extremely good feeling and a real boat winning mentality.

Blok Group became an enthusiastic friend of Lobke and Lisa.

New: computer-aided tool management system

The Blok Group is using a computer-aided tool management system since mid June. Cost savings and never miss anything are greatly in our advantage. 

The company's workshop is included with three FMS-systems running 24/7. This way our tools will stay up to date.

The Blok Group certified by standard AS 9100 C

Blok Mechanical Industry B.V. is certified by standard AS 9100 C, by Lloyd's Register Netherlands BV.

The AS 9100 standard is recognized worldwide as the leading Quality Management System for the aerospace, defense and aerospace manufacturers. It represents the highest degree of quality and reliability. To achieve this level of certification, in the whole organization we have had some strict supervisions. This all happened in a few weeks time.

Blok Group takes over activities of NMA

The Blok Group took over the activities of NMA (Dutch Machinefabriek Alkmaar BV) at 1 July 2008. We acquired the mechanical department and the plate work banks of NMA. The Blok Group also took all the employees involved, the current orders and customer base of NMA.

The location where we acquired the NCA activities remains unchanged. We do this in the current premises in Broek op Langedijk.

At the end of 2007 NMA Industries BV in Broek op Langedijk, the parent organization of NCA activities, decided to focus their strategic goals and investment activities on ‘traffic engineering’, ‘Oil & Gas' and 'engineering'.
